In honour of Denise Turner
Introduction
This year we were due to have
Denise Turner as our head judge.
She had been involved with
Adwanted Media Research Awards
throughout their 11-year history,
whether entering, winning or
judging, and she was genuinely
delighted when we asked her to
take over as Head Judge last year and it had been my
pleasure to work closely with her over many months last
year in building this year’s event. All of us at Adwanted were
devastated to hear the sad news of her death in November.
She was a great friend to so many in the room and to us
at Adwanted, so I hope you will join us in raising a glass
to her today.
Our wonderful judging panel has worked so hard to create
the lists of 昀椀nalists that you will see today. They took the
task extremely seriously, diligently working through the
many many entries that we received, recognising the time,
effort and thought that goes into each and every paper.
Thank you very much to our judging panel for their hard work.
It’s a cliché but it’s true, that just to be shortlisted today is
an enormous achievement. The calibre of entries continues
to rise and we’re very grateful to you all for taking the time
to enter.
